Prix IDÉLLO celebrates French as a Second Language
The Prix IDÉLLO is a celebration of the Francophonie across Canada and a token of appreciation for the work accomplished by teachers to bring the Francophonie to life in Canada.
In support of IDÉLLO's mission, CPF sponsors the French as a Second Language teacher in an English-language school in Canada category. This award recognizes teachers’ outstanding work, passion for their profession, significant impact on the lives of students, and innovation in educational activities. It pays tribute to teachers working in immersion, core and extended French programs who are dedicated to their students, such as Marie-Philippe Lucas from the Gaspé Elementary School in Quebec, winner of the 2020 Prize.
Her strength is her unique teaching style which takes into account that all students are different and require a different model.
The 2021 winner will be revealed this winter and will receive $1,000 worth of classroom supplies, a gift card valued at $150, and a video portrait that will be promoted on CPF and IDÉLLO’s social media channels. Colleagues or parents who submit the winning nomination will also receive a $50 gift card.
